One-to-One Reading Volunteers
Project Transformation is looking for caring volunteers, ages 14 and up, to read
with our summer day camp participants. The literacy component of Project
Transformation is an exciting opportunity for volunteers to interact with our
children in a one-to-one setting. The reading component takes place on Monday-
Thursday from 9:30-12:00. We welcome both individuals and groups. Dates: June 7-
Intern Dinners at Austin College
Calling all Chefs! This summer, 10 college students from across the country will
serve in Project Transformation summer programs. Churches, Sunday School
Classes, and circles from across the area will provide lunches and dinners for them
at Austin College. This is a great opportunity to serve and get to know young
people who are really making a difference! Dates: June and July
Family Fun Nights
Once a month, we invite the children and families of our programs to our day camp
sites for dinner. This is usually a theme night (i.e. a luau, hoe down, sock hop, etc.),
and our families, interns, and volunteers always have a blast! We invite church
groups to provide the meals and participate in the fun. Dates: June 24 and July 15
